Do you prefer to be more active?
The pulse beats faster: If you don’t want to miss out on sports and exercise during your holiday, we have plenty of opportunities to get energized and be active. For example, beautiful jogging and walking routes lead directly from the hotel into the Erlangen area. Everyone can find their way into the countryside, whether beginner, hobby sportsman or professional. Of course you can simply ask at the reception, we will be happy to advise you.
By the way, Erlangen is considered to be the most bicycle-friendly medium-sized city in Germany. So if you prefer to pedal and explore the area, you will be well looked after by us. Our hotel is certified by the Allgemeiner Deutscher Fahrrad-Club e. V. (ADFC) for its cyclist friendliness. In addition, we are a partner hotel of the ADFC in the Bett+Bike programme and offer active cyclists the service you would expect from a cyclist hotel and a few more amenities.

Erlangen is not Berlin, Munich or Hamburg, but it’s still a very nice place to be. Whether you choose to get a coffee in the lovely old town just next to the Schlossgarten – the castle garden, go for a stroll in the city visiting small and big shops or enjoy a night at the theater – if you venture into the city center or the old town, you’ll be rewarded. You prefer tall trees and outcrops to picturesque houses? For those of you who enjoy nature, you’ll feel right at home in the surrounding area of this charming student city.
Franconian coziness and dire nature. There is a reason why the Franconian Switzerland near Erlangen is a popular destination for city and day tourists. Climbing, hiking, cycling, horseback riding or canoeing – it doesn’t matter which direction you choose to go- there’s a lot to experience around Erlangen.
