Enjoy a cool, Franconian beer after a strenuous hike in summer - on the Fünf-Seidla-Steig you can do that not just once, but five times! This famous hiking trail is located in the middle of the city triangle between Bamberg, Bayreuth and Erlangen, also known as Franconian Switzerland. The path is particularly enjoyable on warm, sunny days. Weißenohe is the starting point for the classic route, but the circular route can be started at any point along the route.

The Idea

The idea behind the brewery hiking trail: you hike and visit five breweries on winding paths over gentle hills. A locally brewed beer specialty – Franconian: a Seidla – can be tasted at each of the locations. Of course, all kinds of delicacies from the region are waiting for the visitors, so that nobody has to go hungry. By the way, you can also enjoy the Weißenohe beer here in the Creativhotel. In total, depending on the length of the breaks, you are on the road for about 4-8 hours. There are even information boards and interactive elements about brewing culture along the way!

Persistency is worthwhile

Everyone who has visited all the breweries and picked up five stamps can take home the exclusive Fünf-Seidla-Krug as a souvenir at the end of the trail for a small surcharge. If you don't want to walk the full 18 kilometers, you can also choose a shorter tour that is about half as long as the other way.

For the sake of the nature

Those who walk the pilgrimage of the breweries can experience a wonderful landscape and enjoy tasty beers - a hike for Franconian beer culture and beautiful views. Of course, everybody pays attention to nature, residents and fellow hikers, so that the impressions of the path remain positive in everyone's memory.
